Crumpy's on wheels!

The holidays are fast approaching and some families all over the world will be enjoying a festive dinner to celebrate. It's usually a tradition to enjoy dinner with your family while watching sports or just spending time with your loved ones. Some people may not get to spend that quality time due to their fast paced lifestyle or they may just not be up to the task of cooking feasts. In that case, a food truck may be a good idea to cater your hunger needs. A food truck is a mobile venue that sells food. More poplar in larger cities like New York, Los Angeles and Saint Louis, now, food truck dinning has caught on right here in the south. I visited Crumpy's on Wheels right here in Memphis, TN. Crumpy's has been serving Memphis for over 20 years and they specialize in hamburgers and hot wings. I stopped by to try it out and was very pleased with their food. I spoke with the owners and they gave me a tour of the truck and explained how they operate. "It takes a lot of hard work to run a kitchen," says Big T, head cook. "The truck alone needs 40 gallons of water a day to run the sink and not to mention a generator to power it all." Crumpy's also serves fish baskets, steak and cheese sandwiches, and hot dogs and you can find them all over Memphis-- from downtown in front of the courthouse, East Memphis, and Frayser. This creative way to serve the community is great for the person on the go or for their loyal customers. So, if you see them in your neighborhood stop by because you definitely won't be disappointed.
