"On My Fresh"- Season 1, Episode 1

It's been a long time coming... the wait is finally over....

What started as a simple idea to share my views about what I considered "fresh" has grown from blog, to being sold in stores and now can be found on your nearest computer screen. Today marks the world premiere of "On My Fresh," an occasional webisode series sharing a glimpse into the life of Brand Name Clothing. As I have said before, and will say it again, being "fresh" is a lifestyle. Fresh is more than a price tag or a logo on the hottest pair of jeans or shirt, but what each piece represents collectively. I don't want to give it all away, but each episode allows viewers to share in this exclusive journey through entrepreneurship, philanthropy and business.  This is just an intro into the day-to-day fresh life, but stay tuned for more to come... "On My Fresh" Series Intro

The summer is here and the weather is beautiful. The Brand Name crew has more in-store for everyone as we debut our new highly anticipated webisode series "On My Fresh". We premiered the intro last week at our On My Fresh in-store launch party at K'Presha Boutique. The show follows CEO of Brand Name Clothing, Erik Henneghan on an adventure through the journey of Entrepreneurship. The young mogul gives you a sneak peek of the new " On My Fresh" series. It's spring 2013, and the Brand Name crew has so much in store for you all. This Friday, May 31st, we will take you all back to yesteryear with our 80s and 90s themed party, "On My Fresh". There will be a break dancer and live performances by rapper Knowledge Nick and a performance of the original piece "On My Fresh" by poet and spoken word artist, Steve Fox.

 

In addition to introducing our signature Brand Name Snap Back, we will also premier our innovative webseries, "On My Fresh" during this party. The webseries chronicles the daily tasks of the Brand Name team as we prepare to expand our brand and increase our involvement in the Memphis entrepreneurial landscape.

The Great Gatsby Soundtrack

 

 There has been a lot of buzz around the highly anticipated Baz Lurhmann film adaptation of F. Scott Fitzgerald's novel, The Great Gatsby. With Leonardo DiCaprio as Jay Gatsby and a cast that includes Tobey McGuire and Carey Mulligan the movie is sure to be a hit.

 

 

With such great production and cast, the movie's soundtrack had to follow suit. The soundtrack was produced by Jay-Z, and includes artists such as Beyonce, Andre 3000, Will.i.am, Q-Tip, and Emeli Sande. The album includes a combination of jazz inspired music. The album opens with "Back to Black" an Amy Winehouse song performed by Beyonce and Andre 3000, and closes with "Kill and Run" a song by Australian pop singer, Sia. As the weather starts to show signs of Spring, so does fashion all over the world. One of my favorite brands, Nike, has done it again with the newest release of the Nike 1972 QS. Taking inspiration from the "Moon Shoe,"Nike's first footwear design, the shoe experts have created a modern menswear casual shoe since selling off the Cole Haan brand and making a smarter casual look for buyers. The new shoe comes with two limited edition looks: one in an elegant brown patent leather, and another slightly more everyday look also in brown with a neon sole. Yesterday, J.Cole released an EP, the second in the 'Truly Yours' series, entitled 'Truly Yours 2'. The new EP includes 5 never before released tracks, which include appearances by 2 Chainz and Young Jeezy.

This Extended Play comes before his highly anticipated June 25th release, 'Born Sinner'. "Power Trip" featuring R&B artist Miguel is the first single off of the 'Born Sinner' album. The song is about the "longest crush ever". The video for the lead single was shot in J.Cole's hometown of Fayetteville, NC. Check out the video and the behind the scenes action below.
