Gas for guns

Home is where the heart is and your home should be the safefest place in the world. Afterall, it is the only place that you call "your home." When thinking of where you lay your head at night, you think about your family, being comfortable, and security. What's not fresh is coming home to place that makes you feel uneasy or scared. Sadly, this is the situation that many come "home" to regularly due to violence near and around them. Well, the City of Memphis has launched the Gas for Guns incentive to make our homes safer and our communitties a little bit better. The City of Memphis is trading all of these dangerous weapons for free gas cards and Grizzlies tickets as part of this "judgement-free" program designed to reduce the number of weapons on the streets. The event is set for this Saturday from 10am-2pm at Bloomfield Baptist Church, where each gun per person (limited to three guns) can earn you a $50 Mapco gas card. Those surrendering guns will also recieve two free Memphis Grizzlies game tickets. Memphis is doing everything we can to make the city a safe enviroment for our youth and citizens. This great program may not change the city in one day, but it is a great start of something monumental. If your available to attend, please participate and help make Memphis a better place. Be safe and stay fresh!!
