Can you feel the madness in the air? I'm talking about Memphis Madness, a showcase of the University of Memphis Tiger's 2012-2013 Men and Women basketball teams. As the start of the season begins, basketball fans across the country are getting excited about Tiger basketball. This event is by far the most exciting event of the season to get the Memphis fans geared up to cheer our favorite team on. The event is scheduled for Friday, October 12th at the FedEx Forum. Doors open at 5:30 p.m. and admission is free for the public. The activities begin with K97 FM's Devin Steel on the 1's and 2's, while Memphis fans mingle in the plaza. Shortly after everyone gets seated, the Tigers will be introduced followed by a three-point shooting and dunk contests. The excitement will be monumental as prizes will be given away to some lucky fans. Basketball is a huge sport in Memphis and this event will spark the eye of the tiger in every player towards a successful year. Seats are on a first come first serve basis, so you may want to get there early to guarantee a seat. I know I will definitely be in the building to cheer my Tigers to a great season.
