Brand Name Gives Back

The community is key in today's society. Everything we do affects the future and outcome of our city. Whether positive or negative, our actions reflect our character-- as people and where we are from. The youth struggle with this subject because they lack education, knowledge and funds. Some parents can't even afford to send their children back to school with basic essentials. This past Saturday, Brand Name took action to change that and provided over 150 students with school supplies at our 2nd Annual Supplies 2 Succeed back to school drive. This year was even bigger than the last year and featured sponsors Cozy Corner Restaurant, Networking in Memphis, K'PreSha Boutique, The Sims Financial Group, L.I.F.E. and First Tennessee Bank. This was a great event for the Frayser community and the City of Memphis. It was a great Saturday get-together with live music, great food thanks to Cozy Corner Restaurant and free supplies. The students also had tons of fun playing educational games, face painting, and touring a fire truck with Memphis Fire Department, Station 26.

Even Mayor AC Wharton of the City of Memphis came through to say a few encouraging words to the students about the importance of education and giving back. While the day was full of many great things and people, more importantly, this event proved that when we come together as a community, we can accomplish great things.

Brand Name continues to showcase our belief in being "A Brand, Not A Name." As we move forward, there are no limits to how far we can go if we help one another. Remember it's never to early, or late, to give back to your community, so take a stand today by doing something positive in yours. As always, enjoy and stay fresh!!!
