Nike Gets the NFL

Are you ready for some football? While we are all enjoying this beautiful fall weather, others are getting into another intense NFL season. Every year, Sunday and Monday nights are taken over by two teams taking it to the gridiron and battling it out for the win. However, this year there will be something a little different on the field this NFL season. The major publicly traded sportswear supplier, Nike, has replaced Reebok as the league's exclusive maker of licensed on-field apparel (uniforms, sideline clothing and fan gear). This is huge for sport fans all over the world as football will for sure take the stage in a more fashionable manner. Nike is one of my favorite brands, so I was definitely excited to hear this news. In fact, I actually received word of this at an earlier luncheon with Nike's Vice President of North America Supply Chain, Mike Brewer. Once I heard, my mind immediately thought about how fresh the new uniforms would be on and off the field. Nike sponsors many college and professional teams, but to sponsor a whole professional league sets you aside from anyone else. So, while your watching your favorite team this year, be sure to check out the new threads on players, coaches, and many fans at the game. Enjoy and stay fresh!!
